Skate London: Rinks

The weather outside is getting a lil chilly, so if you’re not up for braving the cold. now is a good time to check out London’s indoor skate spots.

  1. Roller Nation

Tottenham, North London, right across the road from Bruce Grove station, so overground connection!

You can skate the whole venue.

Once you’re past the security check on the door, you don’t have to take your skates off for anything, even the toilets and outside garden area. There’s plenty of seating all around and the food and bar menu are pretty decent too.

Best night to go: Monday’s BYO8 nights - the community vibe is 110% on this night, cause you know everyone you see is a regular skater. It’s where we all go to catch up like we didn’t just see each other on the weekend.

2. Flipper’s

The Newest rink for London, 1 year strong now.

Conveniently located outside white city Westfields, so, there are 3 train stations and endless buses to get you home.

Wheelchair users and buggies are allowed on the rink depending on capacity!
There’s a pro shop downstairs, a bar on each floor, and about 300 -small- lockers.

Best Night to go: Sunday. After 7 pm it’s adult night, granted there’s no DJ but the playlists are in the marshals’ control so it’s always gonna be a vibe! PLUS it’s a quiet day, so more space and less chance of them calling wristbands …

3. Rollerscapes

It’s a pop-up, but it’s winning!

Wembley Park station is a 5-10 minutes walk away, plenty of food options on route. and even once you’re in they have a food menu and bar.

Every night is slightly different vibes, so check their calendar to find your jam.

Best night to go: the Fix8 Tuesdays… which they hopefully bring back T_T

4. Sk8City

It’s not a rink, but it’s a regular space for skaters and we all love it.

Granted it’s QWAY- All the way up in Harrow, then a 5-10min skate from the station (drive - the better option). But inside is BIG, plus it’s way more relaxed and has a 99% community vibe (very rare to get rental skaters during the adult sessions).

Best night to go: it’s only on once a month, so go for it.

I wish we had more dedicated spaces for roller skating in London, I really do. but I’m grateful that we have the option of choice.

Support your locals to keep them running!
