If only it was permanent!

When I walked in* I think “wow” came out a good 5 times. Eventually, it’ll be the location of the famous Starlight Express, but until then we can skate to our heart’s content!

*note: you cannot skate into the venue. 

It’s a bit of a walk from Wembley Park station, and the temptation to skate it is all too real, but remember you cannot skate into or around the venue (just follow the rules pls, we want this to be good).

When you get to the theatre, the path in is beautifully lit with Rollerscapes’ signature red and a winter-themed outdoor lounge area lines the walk-up.

Inside there’s the usual, front desk and security check, little further and then you get to the roller rink entrance, and then finally you reach inside!

Pros:

• Skate marshals are community skaters (familiar faces to some)

• Speed skating on Fix8 nights

• Rentals available

• Free lockers available

• Skate up to the bar

• Everything’s on one floor

• Bigger than Flippers

Cons:

• Lockers are small

• Can’t skate in/through the venue

• Rink floor is dusty, concrete and can feel a few bumps (but I would not complain! this is just FYI, as in don’t wear white!)
